Nick Liatos has been in the industry for 20 years. Having started his career at McCann Ericsson, he has gone on to lead creative departments across a number of global and local agencies in South Africa and has spent his working life creating campaigns and strategies across all industry segments.He has also been responsible for starting up some of South Africa’s most successful agencies, most recently the winners of the coveted Financial Mail - Ad Agency Of The Year 2015, M&C Saatchi Abel, where he was a founding partner in the JHB operation and was appointed Executive Creative Director in 2O14. In that capacity, Nick pitched for, and won, the Nando's Chicken account. Arguably the most saught after and creatively awarded brand in South Africa. Before that he founded a local independent agency ‘Mick&Nick’ which was awarded Ad Focus - hot shop agency of the year 2009. Mick&Nick managed the prestigious Nike retail account and Nick was responsible for launching campaigns for all Nike's iconic brands across footware and Sportsware apparel.From 2002 until 2007 he co-founded RMG:connect, part of the JWT group with offices in JHB and CT, handling big local and international brands along with a number of smaller retail accounts, which went on to become the fastest growing unit in the JWT network. During that time he helped LG electronics reach the number 1 spot in the local white and brown goods market with a number of loved campaigns as voted by the SA public.Now he finds himself returning to JWT, ready to develop significant campaign work that delivers on increased market share. Nick has worked across a wide breadth of industry segments on a number of large global and local clients. Nick's special interests include fly fishing and he's avid oil painter.
