Head of Planning / J. Walter Thompson Shanghai
Tim has always been interested in what makes people tick. Particularly things that don’t always make sense – like emotions and irrational attitudes and behaviors. Because they’re what make us different and our lives interesting and rich.
Another interest is Jungian archetypes; if the power of their meaning could be harnessed, perhaps we could communicate at the level of the psyche. Most of the things he likes to do in his own time involve art, music and design. Being part of new creative ideas continues to excite him.
Deductive reasoning is his main strength. He’s interested in Game Theory and how it can be integrated into planning. These enthusiasms have propelled him through a career which has veered from advertising to marketing and even consulting and agency management. But, he never really stopped being a planner.
