For the last 20 years, Axel Chaldecott has helped launch and re-energise a range of brands from First Direct, the AA, Tango and Go, the low cost airline, winning numerous awards for creativity and effectiveness along the way.
As a creative director, Axel has led multi-disciplinary teams from management consultancies, brand consultancies and marketing communications companies. Working directly with clients, he has gained invaluable expertise in hardwiring brands and their business models to innovative brand and communication strategies.
For the past 7 years, Axel has been working at J. Walter Thompson as one of their client facing global creative directors. He has helped to build HSBC into one of the world’s most valuable financial services brands. Since 2011, Axel has added Shell to his global responsibilities, overseeing the overall brand, with a particular focus on the evolution of the successful Let’s Go campaign.
